A charming, semi-detached cottage, tucked away in a quiet corner in the popular village of Sleights, just three miles from the seaside town of Whitby.
Well placed for exploring both the dramatic heritage coastline and the beautiful countryside of the North York Moors, this characterful cottage is perfect for an enjoyable family holiday.
Inside, the warm and welcoming snug sitting room provides comfortable seating, with an electric fire set in a feature fireplace, whilst retaining the original white painted beams and tongue and groove doors with Suffolk latches.
A door leads into the spacious kitchen, complete with quarry tiled floor and a stable door, with a small porch leading to the garden.
Upstairs, the two pretty bedrooms are tastefully furnished, with quality bedding and mattresses, ensuring a good night's sleep.
Outside, the attractive, enclosed sheltered garden, enables guests to sit and relax with a morning coffee in the sunshine, before heading off for a busy day on the beach!
From the doorstep, there are a couple of public footpaths leading alongside the beck up to Ugglebarnby and Littlebeck, a very enjoyable walk for both two and four legged friends, whilst the excellent local shops and pubs, are just a few minutes’ walk up the hill.
The historic port of Whitby is a must, with its quaint harbour, narrow cobbled streets and famous Abbey, perched high on the hill overlooking the town, at the top of the 199 steps.
Why not sample the delicious food in the numerous tempting tea rooms, or experience the many quality restaurants and fish and chips on offer?
The long sandy beaches are ideal for children, whilst there are many attractions, such as Captain Cook's Museum, Pannett Park, boat trips and nightly ghost walks.
With the stunning surrounding scenery to discover and pretty coastal villages, including Staithes and Robin Hood's Bay to visit, this cottage is in a wonderful location.

Sleights is ideal for both a coastal and country holiday. Just 4 miles from the picturesque Yorkshire coastline, it is also on the edge of dramatic moors country, littered with attractive villages and scenery. Though quiet, Sleights boasts a pub, a fish and chip shop, an antique shop (with cafe), a butcher's, a bakery, a hairdressers and a Post Office within a Spar shop. The North Yorkshire Steam Railway terminus is a few minutes’ drive, together with regular public transport to and from the nearby port of Whitby. Whitby lies at the mouth of the River Esk and is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of Yorkshire. It is an atmospheric town of winding streets and hidden alleys, with a picturesque harbour, safe sandy beaches and, of course, the abbey, reached by the famous 199 steps.
